Other Donations

Here are other examples of donations you can make that will greatly benefit Knoxville Habitat for Humanity.

ImageCars For Homes

Do you have an extra vehicle taking up space that you would like to donate for a tax deduction? Consider donating it to Knoxville Habitat for Humanity. Our “Cars for Homes” program provides another way individuals and groups can contribute to breaking the cycle of poverty and homelessness by donating whole cars, trucks, boats, RVs, motorcycles, or other vehicles.

Net proceeds generated from the sale of vehicles donated through the Cars for Homes program are used to build homes with low-income families. The vehicle need not run, but you will be asked to explain its condition. If the costs of transport and processing fees exceed the auction value of the donation, we will be unable to accept it. However, if you have a vehicle you would like to donate, please call 877-277-4344 or visit the Cars for Homes website. You will need to specify that you would like to make the donation to Knoxville Habitat for Humanity.

ImageLand

Partner with us to build a better future for families in need – starting with the dirt. To meet the rapidly growing need to develop quality neighborhoods and build affordable housing in Knox County, Knoxville Habitat for Humanity seeks leads on land for sale or donation. We are seeking infill lots in Knoxville or Knox County as well as large tracts of land in the county where we can develop a subdivision. Availability of utilities, especially sewer, is a basic requirement. If you can donate a parcel of land, have land to sell or can provide a lead on land acquisition, please call Chuck Fleischer at 865-523-3539 ext. 102.

 ImageEstate Planning

There are many ways in which you can support Knoxville Habitat for Humanity through the structure of your estate. Estate planning can be as simple or as intricate as the donor wishes. Some estate planning examples include bequests of cash, real property, stocks or other securities, or any other transferable asset.

As part of your gift, you can decide when your gift will be used and how it will be used. For example, you might provide an unrestricted gift that Knoxville Habitat can use as it sees fit in the pursuit of its mission. Or you might restrict the funds to be used in a manner exactly as you see fit.

Whichever manner in which you choose to include Knoxville Habitat for Humanity in your estate planning, your legal advisor and financial advisor can help you identify the assets available to you for the purposes of such a bequest.
