KHFH Board Elects Robyn Ulrich to Chairman Post

The board of directors has elected Robyn Ulrich as its chairman, effective July 1, 2011. Ulrich is the senior vice president of new product development for the home category at Scripps Networks Interactive, which includes the lifestyle television brands HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel and Great American Country.

In her volunteer role as the chairman of the board, Ulrich will lead the KHFH board and executive committee on all legal, financial and business matters of the affiliate. Ulrich has served on the Knoxville Habitat for Humanity board since 2008 and has actively participated in the areas of development, Thrift Store, family selection, and communications. She also facilitated the planning for KHFH’s 25th anniversary celebration in 2010.

“Serving on the board of Knoxville Habitat for Humanity is a rewarding experience because you really see the difference in the lives of our families when they work hard to own a simple, decent and affordable home of their own,” said Ulrich. “I look forward to the exciting challenges that lie ahead this year in recruiting qualified families to our program and strengthening the Habitat brand in the community.”

In addition to her volunteer work with Knoxville Habitat, Ulrich also serves on the Historic Tennessee Theatre Foundation Board and is active in a number of professional organizations, including the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) and Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT). She also serves on the alumni association and advisory board for her collegiate sorority.
